How It Works & Coverage

What's NOT included

  • Family court — PFA, custody, support and divorce matters are not published publicly by the PA courts, so they are never picked up automatically. Manual entry only.
  • Immigration (EOIR) hearings — never auto-synced; hearing dates are attorney-entered, and the app only sends reminders to re-confirm them.
  • Philadelphia civil case histories — the court's full docket sheet and name search are bot-protected, so the app links out to them instead of reading them. Philadelphia civil coverage is scheduled court dates only, not filed documents.
  • Philadelphia Municipal Court civil claims — that separate small-claims system is not connected at all.
  • Text/SMS alerts — built but dormant until the carrier registration is approved; email, in-app and push work today.
  • Deadlines are estimates — auto-calculated from standard practice rules and never a substitute for the attorney's own docket review.

One-Time Setup

The firm supplies a one-time setup key—like a password that lets us read court data on the firm's behalf—and sets up the connection once. Attorneys can also add their PA bar number for exact matching in state courts.

Watching Federal Courts

We watch for each attorney's name continuously. You get an alert the moment a firm attorney is mentioned in a federal filing. We also double-check every 6 hours, looking back 90 days, to catch any late-posted filings.

Watching Pennsylvania Courts

Six times a day (12 AM, 6 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM, and 9 PM Eastern), the system checks the Pennsylvania courts for cases where a firm attorney is attorney of record. We pull new docket entries and the next scheduled hearing directly into your dashboard and calendar.

Sorted Into the Right Matter

Filings are matched to the right existing matter by docket number so nothing shows up twice. If a case isn't already being followed, a new matter is created automatically. Only the attorneys actually named in the filing get the alert.

Deadlines and Quiet Cases

The system identifies certain documents (like a motion requiring a 21-day response) to estimate your deadlines. It also flags cases that have had no activity for 180 days. You can mark matters as concluded and add your own private notes.

Immigration Hearings

Immigration (EOIR) courts cannot be checked automatically because their system requires a "prove you're human" checkbox and blocks outside tools. Instead, the app reminds the responsible attorney to verify upcoming hearings manually, complete with direct links and the EOIR phone number.

You Decide How You're Told

You choose how you hear about each type of alert: right away, once a day, or not at all. You can get alerts in the app, by email, or on your phone. A 7:00 AM daily summary covers yesterday's activity, and hearings can flow into a calendar feed (a link you add once so dates keep updating in Apple Calendar or Outlook).
